CEE Technology Index: Estonia ahead of Slovenia and the Czech Republic
Investing in ICT promotes economic and social development
Estonia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are the only Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries that are already on a par with Western Europe in information and communications technology (ICT) level. Balkan countries together with Ukraine and Poland, on the other hand, still have a long way to catch up. These are the main findings of the CEE Technology Index comparison produced by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in cooperation with international law and consulting firm Piepenbrock & Schuster. The study, based on the Index comparison, assesses how today's information and communication technology is affecting the economic development of Central and Eastern Europe.
