Waldzell Meeting – In search of a deeper meaning

Once a year, Nobel prize-winners, scientists, artists, top managers and a handful of other guests hide themselves away at the Benedictine abbey of Melk, Austria, to work on the blueprints for a meaningful future. "We cook the meals, walk in the gardens of the monumental edifice that inspired Umberto Eco's "The Name of the Rose", and deliberate on the present and future of our civilization," says Paulo Coelho, bestselling author and patron of the Waldzell Meeting, describing the atmosphere at this "thinkers' Davos", to which Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is a partner.
